The next generation

On a quick stop over to Baum HQ on Friday I spied a spanking new team bike (Cubano) tucked away in a corner. Firey red, rigid and running 1x9, it was definitely a machine built for speed.

Though I got to have a brief chat with the rider, I wasn't able to get a full interview done. I'll used the interim time, while we tee up a time to chat, to jot down some probing questions that will help you and I understand his aspirations and motivations.

1x9 w/ no chain mgmt. that's ballsy.

I'll be sure to ask him about that. :)

I believe tall teeth on the ring and smooth technique have been doing the trick so far.

if and when he drops a chain mid effort I'm sure the clean-ness of guide free riding will be reconsidered.

mmmm.....do you think that the tall teeth may have contributed to the severity of the puncture wound on the riders shin?

I haven't forgotten the promise to put up this interview. It's coming, I just want some pretty photos to go with it.
